I'm planning on doing an 80's theme costume for Halloween. I've googled fashion around that era and found out pastels were also quite popular during that age as opposed to bright neons. I don't really want to do a jazzercise suit since that's over done. I want to be more everyday wear. Separates would be best.

Over-size sweaters/tops were big, but would crop tops be okay too?

What are some key thing to include so that the costume is obviously 80s?
