I'd be a bit hesitant to get fabric from thrift-shops with bedbugs and such going about, unless you absolutely nuke it with boiling water and so forth.

That said, I find great furniture finds at my Goodwills. I've started making it a routine if I get off before close at work to swing by mine. I've found some pretty fantastic pieces. I grabbed this table for $8. Real wood, too, it's adorable.
