Those cosplays are legitimately bad though. Did cgl suddenly raise their standards for a bad cosplay, and lower their standards for a good cosplay? I left for four months, what happened? Or is this vendetta thing a meme that I missed?

I really don't care. Some of my favorite series were from 5-10 years ago and I just now have the funds to cosplay as my favorite characters, some of whom are several years younger than I am. I know people who are in the same boat as me.

Cosplay as your favorite characters, not the ones that you think you'll look the best as. It's way more fun that way.
