Raising this question from the dead. I just started tretinoin treatment and it's making my skin peel like crazy. The directions say this is normal, but what can I do to keep my skin from tightening and peeling like this? I'm using tretinoin and a benzoyl peroxide (sp?) treatment once a day for cystic acne. I have skin on the drier side, so I'm using this moisturizer, but it's not helping with the chemical irritation as much as it does with dry skin from cold weather or wind.

I know seagulls have done this kind of treatment before. What does /cgl/ recommend to stop the peeling?
