It's a board full of stuck up wannabe cosplay judges who toss out """advice""" with the intent of expecting professional or industrial grade results.

That being said, wigs are not obligatory. Gulls will reee at this post but if you don't honestly care that much about what some pissy anons have to say, wear it natural. It's Costume Play. Not a professional theater performance.

If I were you I'd just pick characters with my hair length and roll with it. Japanese stage plays would do that, going as far as swapping character shoes for high platforms to show height over accuracy.

Depends on the source, but I lean more towards realistic. A shame there aren't any HQ versions of the Utena musical. I'd like to see clearer shots of Anthy's dress.
