*Amateur aesthetician*
It sounds like the birth control might be causing it anon. I went on BC once and developed cystic acne afterwards (I use to have a lil acne before, but nothing like what it turned into)

Got off it, detoxxed, and I drink a shit ton of water, I cut out caffeine (it is a huge component for a lot of people) and dairy. Only caffeine I drink is green tea and it's good for your skin and longevity.

I haven't broken out since. If your problem was hormonal, usually you would have weight issues (like over weight) which you do not have, so it might be lifestyle?

1) Try cutting stuff out gradually, and keep a food journal. You'll have to be patient, but it'll be worth it.

2) Do not, I repeat, DO NOt, exfoliate everyday!! My acne got so bad from doing it. Some people's skin cannot take exfoliating, especially acne prone skin. Exfoliaters with little beads can actually be really harmful for sensitive skin. At the max, once a week should be fine.

3.) R O U T I N E is the most important, and use a maximum of 3 products. Too many will confuse your skin and throw off your pH. I recommend Paula's Choice, it's forty bucks, and their three step system is miraculous.

4.)
-Morning: gentle rinse once/apply light weight moisturizer
-Night: Rinse twice/optional night cream (only if you have dry skin)
