Exactly. People have a hard time understanding that not everything is linked/related. In a way, I think it's like how some people think a person crossplaying is gay or lesbian automatically. That's not how it works though.

There are a ton of possible combinations for any given individual who happens to be straight/gay/bi/etc., male/female/transgendered/gender-neutral/etc., who cosplays or crossplays or does whatever the fuck they want. I guess since the human brain wants to create links/relate things, one could argue that gender, sexuality, and whether they cosplay/crossplay IS related, but only for that individual because it's part of their identity. That said, it's an individual's identity, not the identity or attributes of a larger population or group.
