Kinda piggybacking on this - I wish lolita in general would go back to its roots.
When RinRin posted these two pics on her insta and sort of laughed at the styling from 2011, I couldn't help feeling sad - When did the fashion become so normie? Not just in appearance but in mindset? Sure, the designs we see today are often very OTT, but it seems like there's a certain mindset that's prevalent now that dressing up like this is "ridiculous" and "silly", as if lolita fashion lost everything that was fun about it.
When did it become embarrassing to dress up to the nines like in 2011 or 2001?
