Depends. Try, you know, communicating with your S/O? They will surely know better then us.
I had to tone it done with my S/O, but you can still make it look nice without it being too much

Can we also have room advice? Here my recently redone bedroom (tore up carpet, put down new floors, painted, etc). It looks quite empty right now though, any suggestions?

Extra info: House built in 1930, looks like a plainish- farmhouse
