I think I could go with light brown, just judging by that picture. Desert brown seems a bit too light.

So basically, Derek is good if I want to put in less work, but Magnum is better because it has more volume and I know how to style? Unfortunately I'm not confident with my styling skills but I'm also not too confident that a Derek can work. Although apparently, looking through the gallery, someone has used a Derek for Ken before, albeit in a darker color than what you suggested.

I think the most important thing is to be able to do his bangs and how they do the... pardon the lack of better words, but side... sweepy... thing?
