So I'm thinking of cosplaying Sophie from Howl's Moving Castle, and I was wondering about her hair. Would it be better to buy a short, layered wig like the one on the left and just style the front, or to buy a longer wig like the one on the right and put the layers in myself? Her hair seems to have quite a lot of volume; would I need to put extra hair (wefts?) in? I have zero experience in styling either hair or wigs save for trimming the fringe so that it doesn't get in my eyes.
