Besides commissioning an expensive vest, what would be a good substitute for Immortan Joe's body armor?

I asked a similar question a few weeks ago, but I wanted to get some brainstorming help.

I am thinking perhaps a football vest or even a tank-top for kind of a casual Immortan costume.

Also would Immortan in a kilt work? I always felt like the kilt would fit well in a post-apocalyptic costume, but the mask and armor+accessories would make it Immortan.

And what would I want to get the ashy, white skin-complexion?
