Hello cgl, I'm from /fa/ but I do attend Närcon sometimes and thought that I should give some input on this matter.

I have worked at Närcon a couple of times and each time in a different field.
Each time has been a big fucking shit storm. Everything that you think can go wrong, goes wrong.
Managers doesn't do shit and just chill around all the time.
Or they play the victim card and cry all day about the "pressure".
Just don't become a manager if you can't handle it, cause it will just make it harder for everyone else.

There's also so much unethical behaviour behind the scenes that it's fucking disgusting.

>very little sleep because someone didn't show up to take your spot
>the owners doesn't give a fuck, probably only does it for the $$$

The owners doesn't come by when things go wrong, hell, they don't even check if everything is under control when things are alright.
They don't solve problems, they just ignore it.

So yeah, please boycott this shitty con, but at the same time what else is there?

Are the cosplay activities/jap fashion activities badly managed or are they better? Never been to them.

probably better results would come from searching the archive for general threads of those styles, replacing or appending cyberpunk with "techwear"
