They've already shown their true colors. Let them fail, no matter what their next course of action might be. When that "always online, one disc to every console" garbage for Xbone was announced, I boycotted them forever, Them "changing" their minds did not sway me till today. This is *slightly* hypocritical because there's a vaxmaxxer con next month that I already registered for and they are now on the opposite end with no masks at all, but at least it's free.

As someone who got slowly eased into cosplay over the span of ~2 1/2 years and just came off the most successful con ever last week, I can tell you all right now: It's none of the above. Plenty are important but THE biggest? It's your aura, straight up. Rei in uniform is nothing elaborate and I'm a tall guy with glasses but I was getting ops every few minutes. And it's cause my personality has shifted to an insane degree over the last few months.

Going by this event alone, the other big one is knowing your audience. Comic Con people are lame as fuck on all fronts. Also, I roamed the hotel halls the other night with a girl wearing insanely suggestive clothes and she invited everyone we saw for a party which saw exactly 0 takers because salsa dancers are not cool like the weeb squads are.
