Oh boy. I was trying to do an ivory finish on an offwhite VM OP a while back, ended up with this on the initial run because I didn't read the instructions properly. Managed to get most of it out with dye remover so that it's actually ivory now. I highly recommend if you're not using a cold dye that you stovetop rather than washing machine for heat-based dyes.

The main thing you'd have to watch out for is shrinkage - I only noticed it while ironing down the collar but it does occur.
