I'm struggling with how to orient a couch, kotatsu and tv in the living room. I have yet to get a big tv though so maybe that's the answer?

I think in my future home, I'd have a kotatsu for the living room rather than the bedroom like I see in so many examples. Maybe Japanese interior design/residential architecture really works differently than in the West, but it would make sense to me to have a glorified coffee table like that for the living room.
