Yes there is

That dark eye makeup only benefits people who have fat pads around the eye area, making it protrude. I find that very high, straight across blush looks odd on western faces with sunken under eye areas. It depends on the face but if u try to fight your face's natural contours it may not look natural or even believable.

you mileage may vary etc etc.

A lot of the ppl in this thread have that squidward nose which throws the look off a bit, too.
