Hey, so I'm going to cosplay Kanaya to an upcoming con. Are there any tips or advice you would give a Kanaya cosplayer to not screw up? I'd be doing the outfit in the picture provided and I also plan to make the matriorb.

I figure this is the best place to ask this, but basically I'm planning out my Kanaya skirt and I can't decide on whether or not to put the gray part that's shown in canon on it, or if I should just leave it out. I've seen it work both ways, but I'm not sure which way would really look better.
