my mom is really supportive of my hobbies and my wearing lolita, but she kind of lives her shopping addiction through me and believes quantity > quality and keeps buying me poor quality taobao/milanoo tier stuff without consulting me at all...

i'm really happy that she's taken an interest but the thing is, even she is disappointed by the quality every single time something comes in. i wish i understood why she kept buying if she knew it wasn't the way it was portrayed online. i've tried explaining gently which places are trustworthy and which are not but it's kind of inappropriate to be like, "buy me stuff here, not here!"

i'm just tired of seeing her be disappointed every time a to alice dress comes in the mail when she herself is expecting the quality of BTSSB.
