Even if you could it still doesn't take away the fact that you're turning your body into a social commentary because you're too much of a sperg to voice an opinion when asked, like everyone else. This is the same tier of obnoxious like how people wear shirts with 'sexy' or 'nerd' written on them. Fucking gross.

I don't really care. Imo the people on this show look like lifestyle cosplayers to me, and I don't let these people speak for my hobby. If the world gets the wrong impression then fine, we all survived without their approval for this long and I really don't think this show will change that.

Anyone else have that ugly control freak president in their high school anime club that thought they were hot shit? Not trying to be ironic, but she was super fucking judgmental about anyone that wasn't a fucking weeb and didn't like ~*~obscure anime~*~ and studio ghibli (which was just getting passed around at the time).

She judged me so hard because I dyed my hair blonde and I watched Toonami. And apparently because I wasn't a Republican that made me a dirty liberal slut that didn't like the ~*~Iraq War~*~ and how dare I. I just stopped going after awhile, the club wasn't enjoyable because if everyone didn't like what she liked then that was too fucking bad, and nobody ever had the grapes to tell her no. And if people went against her opinions then she'd make shit personal. Allegedly they had an anime locker but it was only for her ~*~bestest friendz~*~ of course.

She used to give us shitty Japanese lessons too when they barely knew anything about speaking Japanese...just ugh. The last time I saw her was a couple years ago at my first local anime convention. She just gave me this glaring look like "What are YOU doing here?" Oi.

While closet cosplay may still be considered cosplay, in the loosest sense of the term, it's also incredibly lazy, boring, and uninteresting.

I've met cosplayers who get all pissy when their friends get asked for photos because they are wearing an identifiable costume, but the person with the camera asks them to step out of the way because they are in closet cosplay, or stupid fuckwits who think they deserve the same level of adoration and praise for slapping on a shirt and pants.

Call it cosplay all you want, but no one is going to respect that shit.
