Lost. Perplexed and lost is what I am in trying to draft patterns for Royce's coat.

It seems kind of like a labcoat mixed with a tuxedo coat but I don't know how to go about getting the collar to stand up without it looking like shit or in general what shapes to even test out.

tips or patterns that might help me? I have enough of a scrap fabric I think to test out one or two drafts for the base (not including the sleeves)
