yeah, it was mentioned in the last thread that around 2004, the bubble sort of burst. You couldn't hit a dead cat without hitting an anime at that time. People where majority of the time downloading it off bit torrents (guilty of this. Swear to god, the day we got broadband was the day Bleach started and I watched it.. up too 100-ish, then I realize that it wasn't going anywhere. Still isn't) and because of this: so many companies started buying up licenses to series left and right, to the point where they where pandering an already niche market with niche tittles (It was a telling sign when I saw Saint F'ing Seiya translated in english and released in the U.S., Unless you REALLY like old school anime or a wetback like me, no one was buying it) and the bubble sort of brusted sometime ago, not to point the finger, but it was the timing really, but around the time Haruhi was gaining steam, for some odd reason, shit hit the fan hard and nothing has been the same since.

I will agree too. I did have a confrontation with Nessa/Yuna from cosplay.com once from a gathering and she wanted to butt heads with me for.. no god damn reason. The egos have grown, more scrutiny has been placed on people, people are put on pedestals more. If your wondering why I haven't done shit since that Shit cardboard Seiya costume is because of this. That and im getting older and older, the characters are getting younger and younger and I crave more and more food, and get fatter and fatter. Why bother with anything when people are wanting to butt heads with you over every little shit? Your blessed at least to have comedy and a personality behind you. I'm the old guard and I got nothing left, so why even bother?
