I feel like a big part of it is a lot of cosplay photographers don't really know how to shoot outside of a convention scene. It's very limiting because they don't often go out of the confort zone of the hotel or convention center that they're taking photos at. Jojo's is really about the adventure, so if you're going to take photos they're going to probably have to be at least a little daring, unless you're doing Part 4, but even then outside of Japan there really aren't Japanese suburbs like Morioh has just readily available so you still have to search.

I have seen a few good Jojo's photoshoots state side though, in a lot of forest and coastal regions which really helped capture the adventure feeling of the series.
