Rule is if you bought it, you are free to use it to make items with it (OFFICIAL PRODUCTS, technically if you buy bootleg stickers its still illegal) so long as you do not claim it as official copyrighted product (so technically you shouldn't label it as Hello Kitty even if it has a Hello Kitty sticker). So if you buy some Hello Kitty stickers and put them in resin and sell it, its legal. Printing out images (official or not) of Hello Kitty and using them is illegal.

Likewise, using public domain images such as old paintings and such is legal. So long as its in public domain.

Whether or not you think the product is using 'talent' or not is subjective.

I feel like I have to say this in every craft thread on this board.
