The Cravat is silk, the shirt is gauze linen.

As >>9797694 said. Reconstructing history also has amazing patterns.

No. There is a very clean difference between "good" and "shitty". Some make high quality, well designed clothes and makeup. Some look objectively shitty.

>It is indeed a hilariously ancient photo
D'aww. You still look cute though.

> I still make them after all these years.
I'll message you off 4chan when I have some money to blow on a hat for my macaroni outfit.

>any tips for someone who hasn't been in ages or for costuming in the historic area in general?
Dress for the heat, and wear comfortable shoes. Furthermore, people WILL come up to you, as questions and ask to take pictures (some will just take your picture like a zoo animal anyways). Don't hesitate to tell people you are just a visitor. Our regulars, like whole families that dress up, love seeing candid shots of them enjoying the town, and love being part of the experience.

>do they seel their reproduction fabrics onsite?
I assume you mean sell, and yes. You will pay way more than its worth though.

A better option is contacting Burnley & Trowbridge Co. via facebook, who are actually in Williamsburg. They are usually really cool about meeting in person to skip shipping.
