I'll try to keep it brief

Does /cgl/ attend conventions because they enjoy the subject that the convention is celebrating? (anime,gaming,books,etc.) or does /cgl/ just see an opportunity to debut their latest costume/sell merchandise?

long story short,was talking with a few friends about comic con and started debating about what percentage of people are actually there for the content,panels,etc.And what percentage of people were there just to show off costumes and sell shit that panders to the fans
