Not the anons your talking to, but I was wanting to do something like this with my blades as well. My first thought for easy assemble/disassembling was using whatever thing they use in small flag poles, music stands and dress forms. Like there's two "pipes" and one end has a hole and the other has some small ball, and both ends lock into place when you line them up properly.

I have been having a bitch of time trying to figure out what that shit is, or if it even has a name so I can research how that stuff is made. Pic related because I suck at describing things.
