The problem is that certain cosplayers have an enormous sense of entitlement. They think you can dress in public in a ridiculous outfit with your boobs and ass hanging out and that you can just walk through the con like some sort of beauty pageant up on a stage. Like the public is just supposed to take pictures and admire you from afar like sort of glorious statue in a glass case.

That's not how society works. Conventions are a social event. If you dress like a slut, people will assume you are an outgoing person who doesn't mind such sexual attention. Since, after all, you are being sexual in your attire. If you are a reserved person and this type of attention frightens you, why the FUCK would you choose that as a costume? It's called common sense.

Nobody has the right to sexually harass or molest you. But you do not have the right to try to control what people say or do. It is nobody's obligation to protect you from feeling "uncomfortable" but your own.
