Completely agree with OP. I've actually come across people who get angry when I DARE to assume that just maybe they know the series they're cosplaying from. Fuck these nasty cunts.
Others:
>Male cosplayers are attention whores and divas who can't make costumes or take criticism
>The debate about blackface/yellowface is retarded as hell and people who keep it up should be removed from the hobby
>Other people should not be expected to pay for a cosplayer's hobby and patreon hoes should fuck right off
>Related to the above: Cosplay photographers are leeching off cosplayers' effort and shouldn't be paid unless it's a professional, commissioned setting and not a fucking con shoot with a $600 amateur camera
>People who promote the "cosplay isn't consent" tagline are often massive whores (women) or sexual predators (men) and I don't trust anyone who quotes it unironically
I'm glad I quit cosplay when it became all about social issues and making money. Fuck everyone who contributed to ruining the whole scene.
