A big thank you to the wonderful Santa who gave me all these beautiful birds and the gorgeous necklace. Bonus points for the super cute Luluco doodle! I unwrapped the little crochet guy first and couldn't stop smiling. They also have a bit of sentimental value:
>be 7 year old me, beg parents for any kind of pet
>parents cave and let my sister and I get budgies
>green male and blue female, just like these buttons, name them Prince and Princess
>fake sick for entire week just so that I can stay at home and hang with my new bros
>love those birdos, try to be best budgie owner
>one eventually dies after a healthy and long life
>other one was outside in her cage, dad tripped while carrying her in, causing cage to fall and door to come off, she gets spooked and flies out
>can't be mad at dad because it was an accident, and I asked him to help me
>run around neighbourhood for hours trying to find her
>have to go inside, it's dark and I can't hear her
>at least she got to fly in the open sky
