is it a stupid idea to make doremy's dress out of fleece? the blanket stitch finish and plushness/sleep theme of her dress makes me want to make it out of fleece, but I feel like i'd die because of heatstroke if I actually made it out of it

Would fleece work for doremy? With the blanket stitch hem, I figure A) I won't have to sew in a hem since fleece doesn't really fray and B) it wold match the sort of soft plush look the dress has since pom noms and blanket stitch. Any thoughts or recommendations?
