/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

This will be my second anime north cosplaying, but first time taking it seriously. I'm a single young guy, 19, and I think I'm reasonably attractive. Is there any "classy" way to hit on girls at a con? By classy I don't mean like fedora tier shit, I just don't want to come off as a typical neckbeard kind of thing. I guess my gameplan was to just treat the con as a regular social interaction like a big party filled with people I don't know, and use cosplay as a jumping off point to enter conversation etc, but is there anything I should specifically avoid doing? I just don't want to come off as a creep
