I'm planning to cosplay as Haneru, the kid on the left, for a con in a few months. I'm looking at the stylized eyelines and the J on his left cheek.

I'm thinking I could draw them in with eyeliner but I'm not familiar with how to use makeup. I assume I should lightly pencil in the outline of the shapes then fill it in. I heard somewhere that I should use hairspray afterwards as a finish coat to help prevent it from smearing off. What other things should I be aware of?
