I side-eye all city people who romanticize living on the countryside.

I live in a small town and it's the worst.
Everybody here knows everything about everybody. I never wore lolita openly and yet just the fact that I don't live exactly like all other youths here makes my parents nag me and my parents' friends probably bash me. And I love my parents so I don't want them to feel ashamed of me. It's as if there's only one correct way of living: start dating some boy who also lives in our tiny town when you're like 16, attend the same clubs and events as everybody else (e.g. traditional shit), do the job your parents more or less choose for you, build a house, marry and stay here til you die. If you don't have a car, you're fucked. I need to drive half an hour minimum just to get normie clothes. There's just zero choice here, not when it comes to clothes, styling, hobbies or also friends and partners. God forbid I have other interests. My parents are already planning where I'm gonna live once I move out. It feels like I'm suffocating.
In summer the nature might look nice but that's it and in winter it's just extremely depressing.
