I'm no expert on biology, but to me the notion of black tongues and lips just seems biologically unreasonable. Does troll blood oxidate black when it comes in contact with specific chemicals in their saliva, causing their lips to go from tinted to their bloodcolour to black or dark grey? Is their mouth protected by some scale or odd skin? I don't know. Until I figure something out I will take the artistic liberty of using bloodcolour, simply because to most people that makes more sense without any deep dives in troll anatomy.
