anon, your perception is an issue here.
if you truly respect the advice of doctors, you could be fine. but you may be wrestling with deep insecurities that are stronger and less rational than you think. if the doctor gives you a similar opinion than your loved ones, and you don't feel relief, seek therapy. dysmorphia, and a possible insatiable dissatisfaction with your appearance, is a tough thing to kick.
