I use a Canon 40D.My only grumbles are the ISO only goes to 3200 with expansion, and while I can unlock live view, it's a bit clunky.My lenses are a 1.8 50mm Prime, an 18-55 zoom, a 28-105mm lens with macro, and a 55-250mm telephoto zoom, I first started with a DSLR at a benefit shoot for Sloss Furnace Museum in Birmingham Alabama, on March 2013.What I like the most about it, is getting pics of the cool cosplays people come up with , and getting to hang out with my fellow geeks.The advice I'd give is to get out there and start taking pics, and to start learning how to work with the manual settings so you can master the exposure triangle(Aperture, Shutter speed, and ISO) so you have more control over the final image and can balance all three elements for better pictures.
