New to cosplay, but I have about half a year to make a costume in time for a con. Thinking of doing pic related, especially since I may be able to find a basis for the mask and chest during this Halloween season. Any tips on approaching the costume, such as what materials to make the cloak out of? I'm worried about overheating. I sweat/get hot easily, but I feel like this costume could potentially be somewhat comfortable if done correctly. Are there certain fabrics I could use to make this way more bearable to wear? I figured I would just wear a tanktop and shorts underneath, the bare minimum that I would be allowed to walk around in without getting in trouble.

Another question: would it better to have the cape and cloak different fabrics or slightly different colors?
