Sorry to be using the thread more as a sounding board and less of a specific inquiry, but I'm pretty lost on where to start here.

I want to cosplay as Sheik but I seriously have no idea where to start. Would it be a good idea to buy a bodysuit and attach details from there, or to buy separate pants/top and work from there? I know most bodysuits are made out of spandex, which is a nightmare to sew, how else could I achieve the seamless, skintight look of sheik's bodysuit?
