Remember when cosplay was about meeting people who liked the same shit as you at anime conventions because back in the day anime used to be a kind of obscure thing?

Cosplay was a good way to meet other fans back in the day when chatrooms were always interrupted by somebody picking up the phone. You would dress up like your favorite character, and that would paint a big target on you that said "Hey I like this thing! You can tell that I like this thing because I spent money and time dressing up like this thing! Interact with me!"

But now apparently fucktards have it in their head that it is only for attention whoring.
