Yeah, and if the dress was constructed in such a way that it cinches in at the waist, like shown in the picture (I believe it's called an empire silhouette?). For the ribbon itself, I'd get plenty of it and just wrap it around the waist, and then tie it in front instead of a single ribbon. But yeah, there's a few ideas for you. Good luck!
