>Don't realize that anime cons are a thing that happen all over the place, decide I want to go to Metrocon in florida because it's the first con I discover.
>Just getting into Naruto and obsessed with Jacey62's cosplay videos, decide I want to be Deidara.
>Get parents to order Akatsuki robe off the internet.
>No wig, beg my mom to bleach my long brown hair blonde. It doesn't completely work, and I end up combing nasty coloured hairspray into my hair to make it more yellow.
>Ninja sandals made of destroyed socks and a pair of flip flops
>Softball pants
>Handmouths are sculpted from clay and superglued to the palms of my hands.
>Poorly made eyescope is glued to my face, end up tearing off eyebrow when I remove it.
>What is makeup? Horribly smudged eyeliner and nothing else.

Despite looking like a disaster, I still had the time of my young weeabo life. Despite some cringe, I still think about it pretty fondly.

I found a picture, the hair is unfortunately (and terribly) photoshopped by my younger self or you could see what a weird patchy blonde-brown colour it turned. I'd forgotten I was wearing fucking baseball pants and that my cloak zipper broke halfway through the con, exposing my poorly bound chest to the whole con.
Why did I have no shame. Why.
