My costume is going to be pic related.

Wanted to have a bright yellow-orange "sun halo" like Charlie rides down as part of the costume. Not sure of how to pull it off, so thought I'd ask the experts.

1) What material should I use? Cardboard might work well, but I'm concerned it could be too bendy. Plywood would be too heavy.

2) How would I affix it to my costume? Hidden backpack (since the sunshine yellow suit was like $30 I'm not too attached) or use the collar of the suit or shirt somehow?
