/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

so this is going to take a lot of discussion. i'll spark it by going through all the up and comings (they need to be approved by multiple people to be moved into pretty tier, to my understanding) and giving my first impressions (i haven't bothered checking them out before lol)

kanaynay - her new url is borzoya. she still has the best dolorosa i've ever seen (pic related). yes, including emilia's. i'm so sorry father. the rest of her cosplays aren't that impressive, but they're all definitely better than potato rose, and she somehow has a spot in pretty tier (still confused about that)

hammasratas - WOW, definite pretty tier material. maybe even mid tier. i thought they were gomugomugodhead for a sec.

jaimons-le-bon-vin - really really really impressive, especially her condesce. she was photographed by CBC, too, so that should say a lot.

shoutpolesforeyes - i had to manually type in tagged/cosplay because his sidebar is fucked up. pretty average all around. maybe even below average construction. the only real impressive thing is his davesprite, and a lot of it seems store bought. but, again, better than potato rose.

plusle - not a cosplay blog. some kind of stock photography blog. should immediately be moved to god tier.

ceres - super cute. i love her meulin and her karkat a lot. her dreamer equius is very neat (with accurate colors, too!) she seems to be moving in the direction of inactivity, though. a lot of her cosplays are dangan ronpa etc etc

all in all, a very decent group of people who are all better than potato rose. potato rose makes the standards for pretty tier pretty low.

I agree with this. Cosplaying the default beta outfits usually isn't impressive, no matter how good you are.
