Something which did occur to me - The fastest and cheapest way to (for example) send anon a gift that I buy from Amazon would be to have it shipped directly to her address.
Would that be weird? I'd still send a separate card/small gift personally, as well.

I mean I'd be saving upwards of $80 on shipping for a $20 item.

Talking about Alibaba suppliers..

I ordered a sample of custom printed fabric a couple of weeks ago (5 meters). Production was finished on the 29th, but then shipping was delayed until after Golden week. No exact date or anything.
I messaged him on the 8th to say "Hi! I just thought I should double-check that this sample will be shipped this week?" and he said that it would be shipped on that day - But I haven't heard back since or received a tracking number (It should have been through DHL.)

D-did I dun goof by being rude or something? I just needed to know so that I would be home to get it.
