I've been wanting to cosplay from Utena for a long while but I didn't want to do Utena cause I'm not confident in shorts nor have the legs for her. I like Anthy's movie dress and would like to do her but what's holding me back is that I'm not as dark as she is. I know it shouldn't matter but I also noticed lighter skin Anthy cosplayers usually don't have better reception than the others.

Like everyone in this hobby I still wanna look good and be received well so I'm wondering if I should really go ahead with it?
