Above all else, I always try to have well-constructed costumes. My costumes are never amazing, but I always finish the seams and try to use new materials to learn more about sewing. Most of my costumes are from series that don't really garner a lot of attention at cons or on the internet. But sometimes I really want to say, "Fuck this" and just slap something together because I know it doesn't matter to most people what a costume looks like on the inside. Like when I fully lined my Mima top so none of the stitching for the boning casings would show, and even lined the first layer of skirt so there wouldn't be a big fat hem where the horsehair was, it didn't really matter much because most people haven't seen Perfect Blue. Sometimes I do wonder why I put so much work into trying to make something well-constructed when I never enter contests or anything and I know that nobody cares. It's really because if I half-ass something, I know I'll be upset with myself for not doing it properly and I won't like wearing the costume as much. But Christ, sometimes I wish I could just drop all my crap and top-stitch crap and break out the glue and say, "Fuck it."

Oh, I got my jewelry today but damn, I really underestimated the size of these melty moon rings. My fingers are already small but you can tell they kinda cut circulation on my ring fingers. Welp, time to lose some more weight.

Well considering she's supposed to be a 14 year old girl that's barely hit puberty and still has the weight of a preteen, it doesn't really surprise me when someone that's 18 and older has a hard ass time trying to physically look like a 14 year old again. Just saying.

But seriously, it's just a kyubey sitting around awkwardly next to boys for no real reason. I mean kyubey really wouldn't even be bothered to do this. I always assumed the point was that the kyubey felt weird because there were no girls, and the guys were too interested in their games anyway to notice.

Honestly the picture doesn't make a lot of sense in general, idg why it's posted so often. The costume itself is kind of meh too.
