/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

So I've sat down, given it a lot of thought, and I've decided I actually want to do Trickster Jane. But I'm going to take my time with this shit and not half-ass it. I've got fabric in mind, I'm going to check out different methods to dye/paint the stripes onto the fabric so it doesn't look like ass, and so on.

This may be a silly question to ask but of all the things I've been debating with this cosplay it's the cupcake on her head.

What does /cgl/ think/prefer? A completely 3 dimensional actual goddamn cupcake on her head, a nicely made flat piece like a giant hairclip, or what I was thinking as a middle ground where it's a 3 dimensional cupcake cut in half s it still stands out, but isn't this big ugly thing jutting out someone's head?

I know you guys get pissed about tricksters (I do too actually), but for some reason I fell in love with that dress and if I do this I want to do a great job instead of a half assed one.
