My friends angled it as "unable to go to PAX South and normie enough to have decent parties", so that's fine with me so long as there are decent events to chill out with some fun jokey panels. I'm not real interested in VA or lolita panels anymore.

Decided to say fuck it and go, it's not really that much money(got the whole weekend for like ~150) and worst case is I can be out of the house and maybe drink with some cosplayers.
