And, once again, I find myself wishing that I had saved that screenshot that someone took of Yaya's tweet where she stated that the community needs to come together and not be divided. So, in it's place, I'm just going to leave this here:

This article and the woman herself are saturated in hypocrisy. If indeed the show wasn't created for the enjoyment of cosplayers and instead to inaccurately portray them, then what is the point of claiming that we as cosplayers need to band together in this kumbaya sewing circle bullshit? "Yes, hi, I'm a person in this community and I consider myself an ambassador and someone to look up to, but I'm going to push this project for three years until I get my way so I can achieve fame and money. Even if it means making fun of the community that I claim to care oh so dearly about."

To outsiders, Yaya and these attention whores are martyrs. To the community, they're nothing but a fresh pile of geese shit that you accidentally step in while you're out for a jog. Outsiders truly think that they're community ambassadors. To people who don't know them and their bullshit, it gives them a fresh start. And, when people have called them out on their shit, they delete comments, block people, and deem them as "trolls". People don't like being lied to.

To keep the show going, they have to lie. Even if it's at the expense of an entire community that they, once again, claim to give so much of a shit about. That's fucked up, no matter how much you try to put on your rose tinted glasses and say otherwise. It is fucked up to go on and on for years, giving people the impression that you give a shit about them as fellow human beings who share a common interest when you actually fucking don't. The martyr complex bullshit is getting so old and I am so sick and tired of seeing it.
